Yeah yeah that's not the official name. Here is the website:

It was announced this morning that the Tour de France podium (Cadel and the Schlecks) will be at the Colorado race. Good for the USA indeed.

Nice! Can't wait to see this one. Wish I could make a road trip and see it in person.

The Tour of Utah is a couple of weeks before that, August 9-14. Should be a good warmup for the support crews.

Gonna be cool. Janice and I have ridden around Gunnison, Salida, Breckinridge, Crested Butte and Steamboat -- all of which are featured on the routes. Looking forward to the HD helicopter shots. We rode Rabbit Ears pass once which is one of the King of the Mountains.
Independence pass should take them to 12,000+ plus. The Schlecks said that other than flying they had never been that high. Wish they'd thrown in Mount Evans which peaks at 14,000 feet and is the highest paved road in NA. We were there three years ago when a hill climb race was taking place. Brutal. Several world class pro riders said it was the toughest day on the bike they had ever experienced. Climb started at 6800 feet which where the Tour de France climbs peak at the most.
