I can deal with the constant stream of inanities from Phil and Paul....but the Vs recaps and lead in/outs to commercial breaks are completely inappropriate to the sport. An hour of this and you'd think they were covering cage fighting. Almost total emphasis on crashes and ensuing carnage. Going for the bloody close-up. I think most cyclist viewers cringe at these scenes and who the heck else is even watching?
And speaking of crashes what the heck is going on? Are these guys texting on the bike? Don't recall so many so early.

I think part of it is with the doping more under control, the fast guys aren't as much faster, so more riders can keep up, making for more crowded conditions.

Interesting...maybe just too many trying to get up to the front and some pretty tight roads. The stage today went through 45 villages.

Did you see Levi's slide along the gaurd rail yesterday? He was lucky not to have been hurt, but unlucky to lose some time. Radio Shack has had their share of bad luck so far, worst of all losing Brakovic(sp?) who was probably their most realistic podium threat.

And now Chris Horner is out. Watching him stumble to the ambulance after the stage, not able to remember whether or not he had finished the stage after the crash, was one of the scariest things I've ever seen in bike racing.
Bradley Wiggins is out with a broken collar bone from the same crash. Tyler Farrar was banged up but may be OK.
