Ride Saturday 8/16

I am going to get in a ride Saturday morning. I'd like to start around 8:00 and ride for 30-50 miles. I know that we usually ride down in the Baldwin county area, but I am going to ride here in Putnam this weekend. If anyone wants to join me we can meet at the statue on the north side of the courthouse square. The route is an out and back ride, not a loop. The roads don't have alot of traffic and the scenery is nice, especially the ride through Rock Eagle. This will be a moderate pace ride, nothing too fast. Anyone up for joining me?

That sounds like the ride Michael and I rode with you last year, going out Godfrey Road. That is a nice ride. I wish I could join you.

Bad news, Jay. When we talked, I didn't realize that Conor was going to be out of town this weekend. I've got to work Sat til 2:00. Any chance of doing a 3:00 or later ride? I know it'll be hotter, but I'd love to catch the ride.

Adam that is fine with me. I just thought that an early start might encourage more people to ride with us. The heat won't bother me, so 3:00 is good.

I know, my thoughts too. Gotta keep the shop open though. Looks like I'll be leaving straight from O.O., so any carpoolers can meet me there around 2pm. Just a warning, I will be sans truck but will have gas $ to share...

Jay, you need to get with me next time you want to road ride in the county. I wish I would have known you were riding Sat. morning, I had two friends come down from the "big city" to do some country roads with me. We did a 32-miler that originates from the "Plaza" and goes out Lower Harmony, 44, Wesly Chapel, Oconee Springs, Pea Ridge, hwy 16, New Phoenix and ultimately back to Lower Harmony and into town. The route can easily be turned up to a 40-plus miler by continuing out Oconee Springs rd.

I think I've done the route you're talking about; Imperial Mill, Godfrey, Glades, Rock Eagle?
