The Haywood County Chamber of Commerce is launching our first annual bike event called the Blue Ridge Breakaway. The event is scheduled for August 21, 2010 and will include a Century, Metric Century, a 40 mile ride and a 24 mile ride. All routes will begin at the Lake Junaluska Conference and Retreat Center . Riders will explore mountain valleys near the Great Smoky Mountain National Park , Pisgah National Forest and in the Shadow of Cold Mountain. The Century ride will also include 30 miles on the scenic Blue Ridge Parkway.
