Jay brought his too cool for school Peugeot to the Greenway ride today. This is the bike he rides to work sometimes. It is a surprisingly light bike and it just looks as cool as all get out. Tell us more about it, Jay.

OK here's the scoop. A friend of mine gave me the bike. His son found it at the trash dump and just never did any thing with it so I got it. It is an '86 Peugeot PH 501 made in France. It is made of Reynolds 501 double butted tubing that is internally fused. The components are Sachs Huret Rival. It has a 42/52 up front with a six speed cassette on the rear. The rear hub is the old Maillard Helicomatic. When I got the bike it was still in decent shape, but it did need a good bit of work. I changed the tires and put the flat bars up front and did a major tune up. I also had to rebuild the headset and brakes once I started riding it. As for the personalized license plate, well it is just a big piece of plastic that is covered with reflective tape. There's a red blinky light attached to the reflector too. I leave the house at 5:40 A.M. so I figured I needed a big reflector on the back.
