It was a pretty warm ride, it was 90 degrees when we started out about 6:30 but the nice thing about the airport loop is there was plenty of shade most of the way around and it cooled down from there.

Bob and his son did the 5 mile loop. That little guy was gettin' it...

Racheal and I rode 21.59 miles (4 Laps)with an average speed of 16.0 mph. I have been cycling for a year now and she is already challinging me on her second ride out.

We are now officially training for the Covington Century. We are planning on the 30 miler but who knows may hit the 50...

All in all it was a great day to ride.

Way to go! That's a good pace, especially for the newb.

Good job, too, just getting Rob to show up for a ride. ;)

But prize of the day goes to the little guy. Great job!

But don't be thinking about the 30 mile ride at Covington. You'll just keep kicking yourself in the butt for not putting in the extra 20 miles to make the half-century. I'll start posting some training tips to help you prepare for a long ride on a hot day. You can do it. :)

For starters, what days between now and next Wednesday will you have a chance to ride?

HaHaHa. I still think that Heather has only seen me ride once. Taylor has now participated in about as many club rides in the past year as I have.
