Has anyone every done this. I remember on the old, old site there was a map of this, down 112 to Toomsboro, over to Oconee, up to Stembridge and Kings Rd. I seem to remember that it was around 70 miles. Anyone actually done it?

We did it in reverse on the BRAG Spring Tune-Up Ride when they had it in Milledgeville in 2004. Pretty route, but a lot of hills and more traffic than I like.
I think it is the main reason BRAG hasn't come back.

I found the route on the old Yahoo boards heres the link
http://groups.yahoo.com/group/bcmbc/files/Route%20Descriptions/

it is the ride under; STU_2004_Route_Saturday.doc

Hopefully that will work. I will have to give it a go sometime when I am really motivated, I HATE HILLS....

That's the one. I recommend the Friday route. That was the best of the bunch and one of my favorite local routes. But I would modify the start by taking 49 to Blandy Road to State Dairy Farm to Horace Veal (down the hill).

From there follow the route out Old Monticello, continue the loop on Nelson, left on Lawrence, right on Brown's Crossing, left on 49, left on County Line Church, etc. to Ivey and then work back to Milledgeville on Vinson Hwy.

If want to ride it some day I'll work out the details and post it.

We used to ride it about once a month back when Bill Gibson still owned the bike shop. It was right at 67 miles and had a couple of good climbs. I don't know if any of the docs still ride it. There a re a couple of spots where traffic gets kinda hairy.
