I've been riding Selma a little more regularly, and the trail is in need of some work. A certain former bike shop owner/Selma trail builder has indicated the he would make a monetary donation to the club if we can spearhead this effort. I'm looking to get 4-6 people together to spend a couple of hours (literally 2-3) picking up some deadfall and blowing off the trails. I know that not a lot of the members of this forum use the trail at Selma, but I thought some of those who do might want to help. Get in touch with me here or at O.O. if you're interested and we'll set a date.

Adam

p.s.- we've (O.O. crew) been trying to ride Selma regularly on Tues. mornings @ about 8:00. I know most people with real jobs can't make this time, but if you're retired, self-employed, another bike shop flunky, or just don't give a crap about work, come join us. It would be a good idea to check with us Mon. afternoon before to make sure we'll be there.

Adam-
If you can work out a Saturday, let me know. I'll be there.
We've been utterly slammed at work and my biking has dropped (and girth gained) because of it. I'd be more than happy to help. 706-818-1801 or
jgayle67@gmail.com. I'll put up a post on BUMPP for you also.

Thanks to James and Billy, the Selma Irwin trail is in great shape. I've ridden it several times in the past week, and I can't think of a better place to be riding your bike (ok, mountain bike...) this time of year. The leaves have been blown off the trail, there is very little deadfall (just what comes down day to day), and the trail has been pretty tacky. Thanks again to those who did the work. Hope to see you on the trail.
