BATTY: Bikes are Traffic Too, Y'all

The Bicycling Club of Milledgeville hosts BATTY rides to demonstrate that bicycles belong on the streets of Milledgeville. We meet in the parking lot between Oconee Outfitters and the public library on Jefferson Street.

Along our 3 mile route, we observe the rules of the road, stopping for traffic lights, stop signs, riding in the proper part of the lane to allow traffic to pass safely when conditions allow. We will ride safely and cooperatively. Our message to drivers and cyclists alike is "Same Roads, Same Rights, Same Rules".

Anyone wishing to join us, observing the rules of the road and riding at their own risk is welcome. Helmets are strongly encouraged. Riders are invited to join the group for an after ride gathering.
